I’m Margaret O’Hair, and I go by Meg. I’ve been married to Mark O’Hair for all the best days and nights of my life. Sometimes you just know, right?
That’s why I asked him to marry me on the third day we knew each other. And while all of that seems like it happened a long time ago, I know it was only yesterday.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow you can find me running around being a mom to our two kids, a kindergarten teacher, and a writer.
My life and my relationships are always living, breathing documents that I try to give my best to every day. Besides the energy we put into our lives, the world edits our experiences, and I believe that we have to hang on to the things we believe are most important in the world.
That’s why it’s important to me to write about things of meaning and value like changing the face of beauty. My latest book, BE YOU TIFUL, LOVE SOFIA, has an important message that we are all beautiful, that we all have amazing worth, and that diversity is what we all have in common.
BE YOU TIFUL LOVE SOFIA is illustrated with REAL-LIFE photographs of Sofia SANCHEZ and her amazing life. My other picture books: TWIN TO TWIN, MY PUP, MY KITTEN, SWEET BABY FEET, and STAR BABY are in all in rhyme with bright, gorgeous illustrations from different talented artists, chosen by the publishers.
These picture books reflect the little things in life that children and adults hold dear. They talk about the every day world for kids. I believe that’s why children find my books relatable. I hope you check them out and that they can be part of your storybook time with your family!
MALIBU WISH is a three book trilogy, which I am doing final edits on. It’s an epic love-story spanning generations from the eighties to present day. I’m not sure if I’m self-publishing it, or traditionally publishing it, but it will find its way on the journey that it is supposed to take.

I speak and present at many different kinds of events such as California Reading Association, California Writers Club, Society of Children Book Writers and Illustrators, to PTC clubs and Moms Groups.
